1.We up in the building man we got my man June Summers up in here man, whats goin down homie?

2.Haha thats what it is same same man, so like i said we in the new yr 09, whats poppin over there?

everything is lovely man, umm jus signed a good lil pub deal man

my nigga nipseys shit, been working with him on a whole bunch of tracks.
im jus getting prepared for my own movement man ya kno i mean jus been gettin ready

3.Already well i actually wanna get a start from the beginning so you kno everybody out there can get a proper understanding of June Summers background, why dont you go ahead and put folks on and lemme kno who and or what brought you into the music industry and got you wanting to do what you do.

for sure, im originally from up state new york, Rochester, New York all day i rep hard its like the 3rd largest city in the state so we gettin over shadowed by ny city alot so knamean i started this whole thing with my umm, now hes currently my manager, doe stacks i started this thing wit him and it was like a whole movement for the hood like we was doin it like reppin where we was from know wha ti mean so thats how we kinda got into it as far as really tryna push it man i been singin like my whole life as far as singin i had the ability to do that my whole life.knomean but ill say prolly when i was like 15 or sumthin like that i stopped singnin maybe even prior to that maybe like 13 or sumthin where i jus stopped singin was on sum shit like imma rap cuz i always could rap too so i really was a rapper for a minute i wasnt even messin wit the singin i wasnt writin i wasnt dealin wit singin i aint have no aspirations to be a singer what so ever but i was on my rap grind and thats what it was i wasnt tryna do nothin else so really the person that inspired me to do both was lauren hill, lauren hills miseducation joint had came out and im lookin at her like damn like lauren is killin em right now she was killin em so im like well shit i can do both why not.liek why not..i started doin both.then slowly but surely the rap end jus kinda shook off and i was like forget it
like im jus not gonna do the rap, everybody raps, its so hard for a rapper to breakout cuz everybody do it i felt like i had sumthin rare with the way i spit the way i write, my whole delivery on my whole singing thing. so i was like imma jus do singing...people really dont expect that to come out my mouth when they see me they see im street im more edgy they like expect me to rap so when i come out there and i sing they like yo it gives me a different edge..i like to see peoples faces when i do that. basically thats how i started the whole thing and imma say prolly earlier this yr top of 09 i really started to kick it in higher drive with jonny shipes jon shipes shapiro is the one that brought me into the whole cinematic movement like i said earlier this yr maybe a lil further than that we jus been workin ever since man linkin me up wit nipsey..been rollin wit him ever since workin on my solo project...should be droppin sumtime this summer..hopefully maybe late this summer. just been steady working ever since jus tryna keep my nose clean until then b.

4.Thats whats up homiee...you definitely got the singin on lock without question, so i wanna ask what artist aside from lauren hill & style of music influenced you the most growing up to get you as focused and as motivated as you become?

my biggest one is jay..it trip people out that i really wasnt a r&b head...iwasnt the type of dude that had all the r&b joints playing i aint that r&b singer that did all that. i was more or less on my rap grind, i listened to wu heavy coming up..i was your average nigga at that point man. tryna find my nitch but like really all them jay, all the big east coast heads, nas, course i like big pun when he was blessing us with the flow man i dealt with big pun very heavy, now in the game i dont really listen to too much. i love musiq big ups to musiq soulchild, jasmine sullivan, loving her right now im diggin jasmine sullivan real hard music is real edgy, sounds similar to the type of stuff that i write kinda so you kno im loving jasmine sullivan right now, umm male artists im really not diggin too much.im tired of autotune so all the cats putting out the autotune records kinda turn me off no offense to anybody in particular i jus feel like we gotta get back to the essence of music and thats what imma do man im bringin it back right now.im that new hook dude for 09 man so, im saying it now man thats my lane.


5.all day, like you said you doin your thing in 09 making yourself a household name, you got tracks with nipsey, devin, a lot of folks and your definitely standing out on all them tracks so i wanna ask you up until this point what is your favorite piece of music released?

best one...imma say a joint i had called "addicted"..it was all over online.. all on my myspace its been all over the place it was a huge hit upstate new york, everybody loved it.addicted always stands strong..definitely "addicted".soon to come some more like i said im workin on the album lot of new producers, lot of new song writers, lot of everybody's favorite song writers a lot everybody's favorite producers you kno what im sayin so stay tuned i gotta lot of work comin out.

6.Bet, like you said you on an all-star team over there at cinematic. just with that click in mind and then with anybody else you be eager to work with, who do you see yourself really tryna reach out too and collab with?

definitely jasmine sullivan, yo man i kno i jus said her name once before man but yo im feeling her i was jus tellin shipes the other day that we need to link that up man so, me and jasmine sullivan definitely umm i wanna mix it up, i wanna do stuff wit other people that people dont normally do stuff with.like i said maybe me and jasmine we can mix it up a lil bit, hasnt been no big duet really poppin as far commercial spinning in rotation on a major radio.right like i said im dealing with nip im dealin wit a lot of westcoast artists that i havent got a chance to work with before being primarily on the east so you kno a lil bit of everybody man im not shuttin nobody away i work with jus about anybody thats willing to get it but like i said i wanna mix it up and do stuff with people that everybody aint doing stuff with right now.

7.Like you said its only a select few that June Summers is gon be jamming so i gotta know, what you got in the ipod, or the cd deck or tape deck, walkman , whateva is you got around you man what you bumpin?

hes a young animal in the streets right now..umm really it..and jasmine sullivan man like im feeling her right now thats the one rihgt now she in heavy rotation.for the most part imma in my lifetime jay-z type of guy knoimean and thats really all i rock to right now.

8.Well we definitely got the gist of all these artists man but how bout on the producer tip?

j.r. yea man, bangout did a lot of big records last yr also...detroit red is another up and coming big future superstar in the game, a lot of westcoast dudes my man cozmo im doin a lot of tracks wit him.i definitely wanna link up wit swizz feel like me and him can make sum history too so we tryna link that up man & definitely timbaland.i did a lil stretch of time down there in VA so i gotta lot of love down there lot of fam down there so i definitely link up wit timbaland and we can make sum history too man.

9.Next question gon be a little different, mite have to go through your mental rolodex and choose one great song and what not but if you could name one song that truly reflects your life what would it be?

one song that i made that truly reflects...(laughs) let me think about this man.
i think right now it definitely be "all money in", me and nip hussle, reason i say that is cuz on the hook i say "no need to hate me im suppose to be fly, you suppose to see my name up in lights." nawmean and i feel like thats a true statement thats real talk, you suppose to see this like everything thats happening was suppose to happen like this kno what im sayin all money in all money out thats my life.the other part i said and thats real talk all money in all money out man like im a trapper turnt singer man i really go hard like i really does this..im not one of those other cats..i really live how i say in my rhymes what niggas hear on my hooks it aint nobody else writing my hooks it aint nipsey writing his life in my hooks
like thats me know what i mean so definitely i feel like thats the best one to describe me "all money in" june summers & nipsey hussle..just google it man...its crazy definitely crazy out there.

10.Aside from the music, any other ventures?

man i got a million and one plans and all that right now man
i got 2 books bout halfway done that im eventually tryna put out and get them published and put in your local barnes & nobles..i got movie scripts man im one of the most ambitous people to walk on this planet man i truly believe it. i got a little bit of everything started not really finished maybe halfway there i get side tracked with music which is my main move right now so its all good but
man a little bit of everything i wanna open up a club down here in new york man and just get in..im real business minded.little bit of money, business mind can't do nothing but make some money.

11.Well i kno like you said you got hits coming out the woodworks, when can we expect the album or the mixtape or new singles coming around?

"Trapper Turned Singer" volume1 coming out man "watch for the hook" which basicly im doin all the hooks for the mixtape i jus got a list of features you heard a couple the "army all by myself" featuring nipsey jay rock & 2pac, i got the nas record on there me nas & smoke dza, devin the dude, freeway, i got a list of everybody on that joint man, the clipse.know what i mean its gon be real crazy, i got that droppin like in the next 2 months, umm the album "The First Day Of Summer" will be coming hopefully at the end of the summer time im definitely on that hardbody, everybody go get that nipsey hussle "southcentral state of mind" cuz im all over that too, everybody go grab that you can definitely get your june summers fix on that album.
also the LAX Tour starts next week starts out on the westcoast man im tearing down the road with nip on that too so you can also come and see me live in person knowmsayin me, game & nipsey knowmsayin so im a little bit everywhere right now it aint too hard to find me which is a blessing man and im jus grinding im going hard so anybody thats listening anybody thats listening for June Summers you aint gotta look far this summer.

12.Gotta ask you bro, you done already a bunch of tracks with great folks, i have to ask you what the most memorable studio experience you had so far?

most memorable studio experience..damn lemme think...(laughs) damn now you got me...
now im really goin in my mental rolodex..i would say...yo my most memorable studio experience (laughs) is gon be win jonny shipes shapiro txt msg me and then called me letting me know right then he wanted to sign me to cinematic/epic/sony and i went to the studio that nite (laughs) and famed out i think that would be the most memorable one.all the other ones is work thats jus work man that one right there really meant sumthin cuz i felt like i finally made an achievement man so imma say thats the one right there when i got the msg that i was actually gon be signed to sum paper work.

13.What can we expect, what can we look forward to in the future?

like i said i got the album droppin, coming real soon album droppin mine
i already told you im the new hook dude for summer 09 and beyond yall had enuff summers of t-pain, no disrespect but yall had enuff summers man dig im that new hook dude for this summer man but yall see im all action less talk man yall will see im definitely gon be that next dude so jus really that man thats really my biggest thing right now i got my whole movement planned out so im bout to take over this hook thing man take the streets over cuz thats where im starting at then immma kind of bring the whole r&b stuff to the table a little bit later just a little bit imma jus give the streets what they want right now and then im bringin the r&b shit for the ladies man real soon real soon, you can expect a lot from me man but you definitely gon hear a lot from me.
