RAPPER 2 PISTOLS GETS BEATEN BLOODY BY KONVICT'S DOLLA
June 23, 2008- Los Angeles, CA- Jive Records/Konvict's Dolla got into a physical altercation with 2 Pistols of Universal Records during a pre-event at this year's BET Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in LA. Reportedly the two rappers, who both coincidentally have hot, debut singles out, supposedly have beef over an interview that Dolla did recently with a Detroit radio station. Dolla was asked about the "I Got It" record (2 Pistols featuring T-Pain) which was rumored to be offered to Dolla first before passing on it and eventually being released by 2 Pistols. Dolla continued to say that the record was hot, but he wasn't going for the "girl" route as his introduction to the mainstream. 2 Pistols took the comment in a disrespectful way and got back at Dolla claiming that Dolla isn't hood certified and has "no street credibility and isn't really a rap artist from the streets." Dolla unaware of 2 Pistols discontentment with his statement finds himself being the topic at hand in 2 Pistols' YouTube video, dedicated to defaming his name. The night before one of Hip Hop's most popular events to recognize the achievements of those making history- 2 Pistols and Dolla meet- face to face to make a historic moment of their own. On lookers said that Dolla approached 2 Pistols in a very calm way- looking for answers. Dolla explained he didn't mean it like that and continued to say that if anything he was saying the record was hot just not for him. 2 Pistols was still not happy with his reasoning and decided to put some real pressure on Dolla by flinching on him- as if he was going to take the first swing. In reaction, Dolla punched 2 Pistols in the mouth, knocking him down to the ground, face bloody. Dolla encouraged 2 Pistols to get up- to keep the fight going- but 2 Pistols stumbled back onto the floor as label executives scurried around trying to defuse the fight. Ant Rich, Dolla's A&R at Jive/Konvict- physically had to force him out of the area to avoid more confrontation.
It's been said that there is video footage of the incident, but in fact there is not and Dolla simply plans to make a youtube clip explaining the situation- not showing the actual knockdown.
