Boston Celtics superstar Paul Pierce has been fined $25,000 by the NBA for allegedly throwing up a gang sign to an opponent who was doing some heavy trash talking.
In game three of the Celtics vs. Hawks playoff series, Pierce got into a small altercation with Al Horford. After Horford made a three point play and yelled in Pierce's face, Paul walked towards him and flashed what appeared to be the same hand gesture used by the California gang The Piru Bloods.

T.O. and porno? That's a no-go, according to the Dallas Cowboy wideout's lawyer.
An attorney for Terrell Owens dispatched a cease and desist letter to a hardcore pornography website, demanding they remove a picture of the smiling superstar from their page, according to TMZ.com.
The shot was taken when Owens apparently walked into an adult photo shoot taking place in Miami's South Beach, TMZ reported.
The beaming Owens was unaware when the snapshot was taken that it would apppear on the web or link him to the adult entertainment industry, said the two-page letter from attorney Allan M. Lerner.
Owens was further aggravated by a picture caption reading, "What do you know, another football player who does not take his offseason seriously" - and the suggestion that he was pursuing a career in the porn business.
The angry legal missive from Lerner, obtained by TMZ, charged that TheDirty.com website was trying to "disrepute and smear" Owens' reputation by posting the "misleading and nonconsensual" picture.
"We therefore demand that you immediately remove the photographs and the references from your website, state to your public that these photographs linking Mr. Owen to porn were not done with his consent," the letter concluded.

He's a backpack rapper with a penchant for flashy items and a knack for forgetting A Tribe Called Quest lyrics at the wrong time.
But Lupe Fiasco's recent single, "Hip-Hop Saved My Life," is as endearing a record as any MC could put together. The song is from his sophomore set, The Cool.
And he's dedicated it not to one, but two of the game's finest: Bun B and Slim Thug.
"With 'Hip-Hop Saved My Life,' I attempted to make 'Kick, Push,' but for rappers," he explained to MTV Base. "To give a real basic play-by-play of the life of a rapper before he makes it — if he ever makes it, because you can get stuck in that and be trying to make it for the rest of your life."
The genesis of the track came when the Chicago lyricist went to Houston for a show. The rapper said the town was "spaced-out," in terms of the distance between things, and it gave the city a feel as if there wasn't much to do. So UGK legend Bun B picked up Lupe and led him on a tour of H-Town.
"He had his wife Queenie with him, and I was just sitting back, soaking it all in, and I was just thinking, 'How can I pay Bun B back?' " Lupe recalled.
The result was "Hip-Hop Saved My Life." The track is a three-part narrative following a rapper putting together a track from scratch, going through the struggles of performing at open-mic sessions, then hearing a freestyle of his make it on the radio.
When Lupe filmed the video in Houston, Slim Thug — who makes a cameo in the clip — approached the MC and asked if the song was about him.
"My DJ first heard the record when Lupe's album came out," Slim Thug told MTV News. "I went on iTunes and bought it and was surprised it had a lot to do about me. I don't think it's entirely about me, but he took pieces of my hustle and put it in the song. We might not have the same type of rap style, but I respect him. I knew a lot of people that liked him when he first came out and checked him out, and he was jammin'. And anyone that's jammin' is all right with me. When he came to shoot the video, I got the call from Dr. Teeth, who directed it, and I was down. I brought some of my cars, you know, with the candy paint, and we did it."
"It is based on Slim Thug," Lupe revealed. "I was with him when we shot the video, and he was like, 'Yo, is this song about me?' I didn't know at the time, but there was a situation in Houston where they were trying to figure out who the song was about. Was it about Slim Thug? Was it about Chamillionaire? And it was about Slim Thug, but [then] I dedicated the song to Bun. I called him up and said, 'Yo, Bun, I've got a song for you, check it out,' and he was the first person to hear it. I sent it to him and he was like, 'Yo, it's all good.' "
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- Big Upset. Big Super Bowl ring.
The New York Giants unveiled the design of their Super Bowl championship ring on Tuesday, a white gold sparkler that will feature about 1.5 carats in diamonds.
The new ring will even make seven-time Pro Bowl defensive end Michael Strahan happy.
Shortly after New York won the championship with a 17-14 win over the previously undefeated New England Patriots, Strahan said he wanted a "10-table ring."
Loosely defined: He wanted a ring that could be seen 10 tables away in a restaurant.
"There was some discussion about maybe one of the rings was too big," said center Shaun O'Hara, who was among group of players and team executives who designed the ring with officials from Tiffany and Co.
"I threw out the fact that it was a big win, it was a huge win, so the ring should be designed accordingly," O'Hara said. "Michael said it best when he said he wanted a 10-table ring. I think everybody is going to be very pleased with the design. It is very clean, very classy, but at the same time it is very strong."
Giants spokesman Pat Hanlon would not disclose the price of the ring.
The rings will be presented to the Giants players and coaches at a ceremony later in the spring.
After a previously unreleased track hit the net, T.I. released a statement to tell fans the song was not leaked by him and will not appear on his new album, Paper Trail. In a recorded message, T.I. explained that the record, dubbed "Hunt 'Em Down" will not appear on the King of The South's upcoming solo project, Paper Trail.
"To whom it may concern, for whatever it's worth, I just wanted to say to you myself that the record that has been leaked...it's an unwarranted, unauthorized release," T.I. said. "It is not a Paper Trail selection. It's not of the same standard, the same quality as the records that I'm doing right now so I don't want nobody to get it misconstrued that that's the first single or that's even a release from Paper Trail."
The song, which features a noticeably aggressive Tip, sees the rapper spitting lyrics like, "I want them n*ggas dead / I want they head / I want 'em now...hunt 'em down." The Atlanta MC went on to explain that the aggressive content of the track was due to the time of it's recording, as it was directly after T.I.'s close friend, Philant Johnson, was shot and killed.
"Do not be fooled. That was a record I recorded...it was the very first record I recorded after my big homie Philant died," he revealed. "So it was a lot of rage, a lot of anger, a lot of frustration in that record. It was never even meant to be released. I don't know how it got out there."
Tip also told fans that when an official single is finally released, it will far surpass that of the leaked track.
"The record you gon' hear when I put it out there is gon' be way better than that, on a whole 'nother level."
Denaun Porter aka Mr. Porter aka Kon Artis from D12 has been a busy man as of late. While putting in work for artists like Little Brother, Pharoahe Monch and Jay Electronica, Mr. Porter revealed to HipHopDX what he has coming up in 2008.
“I definitely am going to help get this D12 album done,” he states about working with his crew. “I got 6 songs that I’m in love with – not just because I did them but because the guys are spitting their hearts out.”
Porter also reveals a solo production album coming out this year titled Who Is John Doe.
“I’m putting out the Who Is John Doe project this year and it’s a great thing because it gives you a CD of all of the beats that didn’t make it (on other albums),” the Detroit producer explains. “It’s all chops and niggas ain’t never heard me do that. They are hearing beats that aren’t even put together. They are raggedy.”
The guest list is full of some of the Motor City's finest.
“The album has got Guilty Simpson, it’s got Black Milk, myself doing solo songs, Phat Kat. It’s got all these cats I came up to listening with Jay Dee. It’s got Slum Village. Elzhi has a solo song on there. Dwele. So I made that project for myself before I go back out there.”
What Mr. Porter means by "before I go back out there" is supplying beats for Dr Dre’s swan song Detox. He - along with quite a few other notable producers - have been hard at work supplying the good Doctor with a plethora of beats. Many are curious what is going on with the project but Porter can give some insight.
“He just needs that first record,” he says of the hold up on the album. “He’s got records. We’ve busted our ass and I hope Dre feels that way. We really came to the table with different things. But Dre’s going to do that record. We’re not going to do it, we’re just giving him ideas. But Andre Young is going to come with it! It’s just his last record and he’s gotta go out with a bang!”
The one thing that piques the curiosity of many is the whereabouts of Porter's close friend, Slim Shady.
“Eminem’s been recording, he’s always working. Me and him haven’t talked much because I have my own career.”
But although he hasn't talked as frequently with his friend as many would think, Porter did take the time to squash a few rumors that had been hovering.
“Em ain’t fat,” Porter laughs as he talks about the blond emcee from 8 Mile. “He fu*ked his ACL up. What people don’t know is that Em got sick around Christmas and he had pneumonia. Then he fu*ked his ACL up right after that and that’s a serious injury. He’s straight. He just hurt himself and he’s good. He ain’t high or fu*ked up somewhere. That nigga is working. I’m going to help him get his record done. I need an Eminem record in my life for my own self. I need that.“
Porter also says that Eminem is completely clean and in great spirits.
“He’s the most clear and at his brightest point. That’s my family. We bump heads because we competitors. I’m cuter than him and he hates it. bi*ches love me, they love him too but he got more money than me.“
Young Buck may be out of 50 Cent’s G-Unit rap group, but the rapper continues to make business moves on his own as his Cashville Records imprint has inked a new deal through Decon, to release his documentary DVD, A Billion Bucks. The A Billion Bucks double disk DVD/CD, which was shot and edited by Decon’s by Jason Goldwatch, who has worked with Ludacris, Young Jeezy, Damian Marley and others.
The DVD documents the life and times of Young Buck and the day-to-day struggles he faces as a worldwide rap star.
Viewers will watch Young Buck as he opens up his life to the camera, at the recommendation of his personal psychiatrist.
The former G-Unit rapper is featured in the DVD traveling through the South Side housing projects of Tennessee, Cuba, through the United States on a tour and even on back wood fishing excursion.
“The greatest aspect of shooting with Buck was the mutual respect and genuine curiosity that developed between us,” said Jason Goldwatch, director of the film. “We are such different people, from such different places, and over the course of our travels and experiences finding actually, we are very much the same. And the camera was there to capture the frankness, the dirt, the openness, and the realness of it all. It was an amazing experience.”
The double disc DVD/CD features 3 new unreleased music videos, six new tracks from Young Buck, C-Bo, Tha Outlawz, 615 and a complete photo gallery.
A Billion Bucks is slated to hit stores on June 10.
Young Buck will also hit the road in to support the DVD in June, shortly after the release.
50 Cent has made it clear about the status of Young Buck, one of his artists who has had a shaky relationship with the company for several months.
50 Cent revealed today [April 7] that the Tennessee rapper was no longer in G-Unit the group, but would still record for the label.
“You can look at it and see that’s Game [former G-Unit rapper] all the way. I was giving him a chance, giving him the benefit of the doubt [to remain with the group]. You can take this as an official notice right here – pretty much you can say: Young Buck is no longer in the group G-Unit, but signed to G-Unit [Records] as a solo artist,” 50 Cent told DJ Envy, a co-host on the Hot 97 Morning Show with Miss Jones.
Most recently, Young Buck revealed that he had not collected any royalty income as an artist on G-Unit Records, a subsidiary of Interscope. Those reports were quickly dispelled by Sha Money XL, manager of Young Buck, who said the rapper was “waving the G-Unit flag strong.”
“There has been a new rumor going around that 50 Cent has not paid Young Buck any royalties," Sha Money XL told AllHipHop.com. "I, as Buck’s manager and as former President of G-Unit Records, want to make it clear: that is false. Young Buck has cleared over $10 million dollars working under 50 Cent’s and my guidance.”
Young Buck, born David Darnell Brown, was expected to appear on Shoot to Kill, the follow up to G-Unit’s 2003 debut album titled Beg For Mercy.
Young Buck once was to lead the charge for 50 Cent’s G-Unit Sout imprint. Instead, the rapper started Cashville Records and signed rap vet C-Bo and The Outlawz, who were a part of Tupac’s inner circle of emcees.
But has also started David Brown clothing to supplement his rap offerings.
50 Cent and The Game initially parted ways, because the Compton upstart wouldn't assume beefs with Nas and Fat Joe that the rest of G-Unit had declared.
Detroit Lions receiver Roy Williams has heard all the talk and rumors about a possible draft-day trade to the Dallas Cowboys and said he is prepared for whatever happens.
The former Longhorn star -- who was in Austin over the weekend for the Texas Relays and the Michael Huff celebrity basketball game -- wants to stay in Detroit.
"Of course I want to stay in Detroit," Williams said. "Everybody wants to stay with the team that drafted them. They are telling me I am going to be a Lion for at least one more season. That’s what I have on my mind."
Williams knows what he’s been told by the Lions, but he also understands the business of the game. He recited the money the team has guaranteed to fellow Lions receiver Calvin Johnson. Williams is in the final year of his contract and the Lions have yet to approach him about an extension.
So even though he has been told he will be in Detroit next year, he understands there remains the question of "what are they going to do with me?"
"Could they pay me? Yes," Williams said. "Will they pay me? That’s the question that needs to be answered.
“If I get franchised, I get franchised. If they want to go in another direction that is part of the business."
